The Pearl concert tom project was commissioned by Crystal Lake South high school in March 2020. As you can see from the before pictures, this project was heavily needed. The first step we took was to take the drums completely apart and reglue/round all of the drums back to the original shape. Next, we then took the outer color off the veneer to get the wood ready for color. Once the drums were bare wood, we then added a gunstock stain to give the toms a nice new color. After the stain and clear coat was finished, it time to do the final steps of cleaning the hardware and reassembling the drums. After a week of work, the concert Toms were finished! Thank you to Cody Halberstadt and the Crystal Lake high school band for your concert Tom restoration commission for Rocco Z Music!
