Rocco Zaccagnini is available for clinics and master classes.
Rocco is a graduate of Northern Illinois University where he studied under Dr. Gregory Beyer, Professor Mike Mixtacki, Professor Robert Chappell, and Professor Ben Wahlund. While at NIU, Rocco was a part of the many strong groups such as the NIU Steel Band, Philharmonic, Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, and Percussion Ensemble.
Rocco currently performs as a solo percussion artist, with a percussion duo called, “Vertical Discrepancy,” and with various groups such as the Chicago Bears drumline and the Milwaukee Bucks drumline, Bucks Beats. These experiences and connections over the years has aided Rocco to become a very strong percussionist. In result, Rocco takes great passion in his work and strives to exude professional artistic greatness with every group he is a part of.
On and off the field Rocco has also proven himself to be an excellent teacher and instructor. Not only by keeping the students best interest at heart, but also being easy to work with. In his work he has faced challenges and created compromises with ease. Remaining level-headed in tough situations is critical to build a strong work and learning environment. Rocco understands the importance of this and many other aspects that allows students to learn effectively and efficiently.
Along with performing and teaching he also runs a DJ service. His love for all types of music makes him excellent for any kind of event. Rocco DJ’s at many different events over the year such as weddings, corporate parties, and school dances.
Rocco has been held in the highest regard of his employers, coworkers and students.
